RENEWABLE ENERGY TECHNICIAN

The Renewable Energy Technician will be responsible for overall installation, regular maintenance, troubleshooting and successful delivery of all renewable projects for Vital Energy across the FSM, Nauru, and Guam. The installation of renewable technologies namely solar photovoltaic, onshore wind, offshore wind and battery storage must be well within the specified timelines and internationally accepted safety, codes, guidelines, and standards. The role is based in FSM and will report directly to the Asset Integrity Manager.

Essential Job Requirements

  • All renewable projects for Vital installed and maintained as per codes, guidelines, and standards, especially with regards to commissioning and decommissioning of works, repair and maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Technical Expertise demonstrated and provided on all renewable team projects, including risks and impact assessments, and continuous improvements.
  • Timely preparation and submission of relevant reports to management/executives
  • Compliance with local statutory/regulatory/organisational standards and requirements.
  • Vital image upheld and values demonstrated at all times

Qualifications

  • A proven track record working on renewable energy related projects
  • Demonstrated management and leadership qualities, people management and communication skills
  • Knowledge of electricity market and its players
  • Proven experience working with high-level safety management systems
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Robust knowledge of relevant local statutory/regulatory requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills will be necessary to engage local stakeholders
  • Must have the ability to work in a multicultural environment, with cross-functional and delocalized teams.
