We are currently seeking the right candidate for the position of:
TERMINAL OPERATOR – NAURU
The Terminal Operator will work as part of the Nauru Terminal Team. The Terminal Operator will work under the supervision of the Officer In Charge, to assist in the overall operations of the bulk plant facilities. This will include but not be limited to operations in tanker loading, unloading, bunkering, tank to tank transfer, storage handling, distribution, and facility preventive maintenance and repair functions. Additionally, the Terminal Operator will carry out the receipt, storage, handling and deliveries of company petroleum products or materials in bulk or in packages within the facility or to customer locations or storage tanks. These will be facilitated while ensuring maximum safety, efficiency, effectively and correct quantity and quality integrity.
Additionally the Terminal Operator performs maintenance and repair tasks on facility equipment and assets. He/ She is to ensure that all tasks performed are conducted in a safe manner and in accordance with company operating procedure guideline.
Qualifications & Experience
We are seeking individuals with:
- High school education or equivalent;
- 2 years of transferrable work experience in the petroleum industry;
- 2 years of work experience in a role with people and the ability and confidence to work with limited supervision; and,
- A solid understanding of health and safety with the ability to translate it into procedures.
