This form can be accessed by calling the Vital Energy Head Office at (691) 320-6364 and requesting to speak with the Job Shadowing Program Coordinator. When considering participating in the Job Shadow Program please bear in mind the following factors:

• Our program is operational only when announced by Vital

• Your school can opt to choose the number of days or hours for the job shadow
opportunity considering it does not exceed more than three days in a row for a group of
students. Indicate the dates and times you desire students to be at Vital. The Program
Coordinator will discuss these dates with the school and the student(s).

• Identify a point of contact within your school with whom the Program Coordinator can
work with throughout the duration of the job shadow visit.

Job Shadow Site Activities

Students participating in the Job Shadow Program are high school senior students.
These students may participate in the program for varying reasons to include:
networking opportunities, learning how their major could be leveraged within Vital,
assistance with narrowing down academic major selection, and learning employability skills
needed to be successful in all the industries Vital contributes toward.

Keeping this audience in mind and their respective reasoning for expressing an interest in the
program should serve as a guide to aid Vital in planning job shadow activities.
Some proposed activities could entail the following:

• Meeting Function Managers and learning the mission of the functions they oversee

• Interacting with Vital staff members who will be working directly with students.

• Plan an informal networking opportunity for the students with the CEO to learn how
their career began and to learn about courses or certifications that will help them to
excel in their respective industry.

• Touring the facility

How Students are Selected to Visit

The selection process for identifying students to visit is seamless once the school application form has
been reviewed by the Program Coordinator.

• The school counselor indicated on the school application form will be contacted by the Program

counselor to discuss their career goals and interests.

complete our program evaluation together. In addition, participating students will be required to write a
brief synopsis about their experience. The Program Coordinator will review the evaluations and the
student reports. This information will be used to help Vital evaluate the program for improvements and
for reporting to CoRE.
